What is an SR-22?

An SR-22 is a document required as proof of financial responsibility for persons convicted of certain traffic violations.

You may be required to file an SR-22 with your state's Department of Motor Vehicles if you have:

• ever had a suspended license
• been convicted of a major moving violation (including DUI or DWI)
• been involved in an accident while uninsured
